A STAYCATION TO REMEMBER
How the Lagos Chapter of Bossbabes Nigeria celebrated IWD 2025 with purpose, power, and presence
International Women’s Day isn’t just a global celebration. it’s a call to action, a moment to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come, and a reminder of the power of women in community.
At Bossbabes Nigeria Lagos Chapter, we took a refreshing approach this year by creating a *Staycation experience* designed to nurture connection, rest, and empowerment among women who are constantly pouring into others.
WHY A STAYCATION?
“IWD is my personal Christmas Day for women,” says Chapter Head, Ifeoma Aniekwe.
“It’s a day to rest, celebrate our achievements, and surround ourselves with women who inspire us to keep going.”
In a world where “busy” is worn like a badge of honor, we intentionally chose to slow down. The Staycation offered our Bossbabes a unique space to *relax, reflect, and recharge*, while still being inspired and supported.
HIGHLIGHT MOMENT: FROM VISION TO LAUNCH IN 30 DAYS
One of the most unforgettable parts of the day was the product launch by a Bossbabe who had shared her dream just one month earlier during our February 8th Vision Board Class. She wanted to launch a scented candle and diffuser brand.
With encouragement, accountability, and support from me, her dream became a reality. And on March 8th, she unveiled her brand to all of us—and we showed up big time by purchasing her products right there on the spot.
This is the true essence of Bossbabes Nigeria: real support, real results.
THE DAY AT A GLANCE
– Intentional Conversations & Interviews
– Food, Drinks & Laughter
– Networking Among Purpose-Driven Women
– Candle Launch & Product Showcase
– Relaxing Movie Night to Close the Day
We created memories, inspired each other, and most importantly—we rested. Because healing, impact, and leadership must be fueled from a full cup.
“As a leader and social impact advocate, I am committed to fostering spaces where women don’t just build businesses ,they build lives filled with purpose, peace, and power. IWD 2025 was a reflection of this mission, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.”
