EmpowerHer is an initiative by BossBabes Nigeria in partnership with StyleRave, aimed at supporting and empowering female entrepreneurs in Nigeria.
The project called for women to submit video pitches on Instagram and Facebook, tagging @bossbabesnigeria and sponsor @stylerave_.
By the Numbers
- 142 female entrepreneurs submitted pitches
- 50 finalists selected based on business impact, clarity of purpose, innovation, and scalability
- 15 total winners (10 initial winners, plus 5 more after an additional sponsor came on board)
- ₦250,000 grant awarded to each winner
Virtual Pitch Sessions
Held over May 2–4, 2025, entrepreneurs delivered 2-minute virtual business pitches judged by professionals from Boss Babes Nigeria and UK academia.
Award Ceremony
Winners were celebrated at an in-person ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria, where each received their ₦250,000 grant cheque. Keynote speakers joined from Money Africa and SGX Mobility, and attendees had the chance to pitch their businesses and network with one another.

What’s Next
All winners have signed a post-funds usage agreement and will submit progress updates as stipulated in that agreement, ensuring the grant continues to drive real impact.
